Runners High — Feature Film Pitch Deck

Runners High is a feature film pitch deck designed to attract producers, directors, and financiers to a coming-of-age dramedy set in the world of competitive run clubs. The work spanned full creative direction — from deck layout and art direction to imagery curation and copywriting — translating the director’s vision into a cohesive, investor-facing document built to sell both the story and the world it lives in.

PITCH DECK

The World of Runners High

The deck opens by establishing the film’s world before making any ask — director, team, logline, story, and thematic framework sequenced to build investor confidence in the creative vision. Imagery selection set the cinematic tone throughout, each frame chosen to evoke atmosphere rather than illustrate it.

CENTRAL CHARACTERS

An ensemble built around the dynamics of a run club — each character designed on the page with cinematic stills and tight copy that established role, motivation, and tension at a glance.

TONE & STYLE

The cinematographic vision — lighting ratios, lens philosophy, blocking, color — translated from technical filmmaker language into a visual argument a financier could feel. Nine distinct concepts, each given its own slide and paired with imagery that demonstrated the intended effect.

KEY SCENES

The story’s emotional arc made tangible through pivotal moments, from the relay race backdrop to the intimate confrontations that define Fiona’s journey. Scene selection and copy worked together to show producers the film’s range — comedy, tension, heartbreak — without over-explaining it.
